Loving your farm! Ours is getting underway too, a little slower than yours, and without any chickens. But then, we have small people to run through the grass and cause chaos, so I guess we don't need any fowl. Goats might be fun.
How about some angora bunnies. Their fur is valuable. (And not just the "pelts". These bunnies get haircuts in order to share.) And they produce good garden fertilizer.
We had an opportunity to get a free bunny but ah no. That means more food and a place to keep him and food and space and food....... I already have 4 chickens and 4 pet rats and two awnary cats.
