Grammy's bible

I received my grandmothers catholic bible.
It has to my amazement it has
The Apocrypha in it. Not only that it is in a translation I can't find. An American translation by
Edgar J. Godspeed 1939 published date and 1945 copy write
Chicago press.
I went threw and found underlining of these verses.
These are the verses that were important to her enough to underline.

Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3 NKJV)

Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” (John 3:5-8 NKJV

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. (John 3:17 NKJV)

But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (John 3:21 NKJV)

He who comes from above is above all; he who is of the earth is earthly and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all. (John 3:31 NKJV)

But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” (John 4:23, 24 NKJV)

For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.” (Galatians 3:10 NKJV)

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. (Galatians 5:16, 17 NKJV)

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. (Ephesians 4:31, 32 NKJ

See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is. (Ephesians 5:15-17 NKJV)

Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever, because “All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of the grass. The grass withers, And its flower falls away, But the word of the Lord endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you. (I Peter 1:22-25 NKJV)

Love that you have your Grammy's Bible and love even more that she took the time to underline specific verses.

Everyone wanted my dad's Bible. I believe Dave has it, and I guess that is okay. Perhaps he most needs to have that part of Grandpa near. Keep him in your prayers.

Was this Gram as in "Gram and Bruce"? or a different Grammy?
